Looking for a job: Pot washer // hotel work // leafleter

Hi my name is jake hopkinson i am 16 and i live in blackpool (uk) my dream and what i wish to follow is to open a bar in benidorm , which will involve alot of working and saving up , but i am resiliant to do so , now i was just wondering if there was any sort of either acomadated jobs or full time jobs going in benidorm which i could come and experiance as i would love the opportunity , i am aware its a big step being in another country on my own and being responsible for my own living there but its a step im willing to take , i have been to benidorm before its a lovely place and was hoping there be something for me

I've never heard of any jobs that have accommodation except maybe carers or house sitter/caretakers type of job. If you are looking for bar type work I'm afraid it very difficult to find as there are hundreds of young people like yourself looking for and willing to take very low paid work and long hours just to be here. Its very rare that there is any contracts involved. There are long waiting lists for bar/restaurant work and it usually goes to their family and friends first. Your best bet is to have a fact finding holiday here and give out your CV to local bars etc. Your first thing to obtain is a NIE number as bars or other businesses will only employ legal residents. Check up what you need to be legal here. NIE, healthcare and monetary arrangements.

That is funny.. Bars only employ legal residents..

Also, having a NIE number does not make you a legal resident.. it's a start but not everything..

Is a 16 year old allowed to work with alcohol or a place that serves it? Or even apply for a tax number without mommy n daddy being there?

Ok RayBenidorm know all. Nobody said an NIE made you a legal resident did they. I said NIE, healthcare and get his monetary arrangements sorted. Don't insult the lad for being his age either.

Mate!! good that you haffi dem goals in life! .. there sum stuff to think before doin all dem tinnggs such as open di bar/restaurant.... as many says..NIE number.. it takes up to 8-10 weeks ( depending on the time of year ) to get a meeting just for the NIE... the so ial se ...and A COMODATION... without that...wtf u gonna do... Then we haffi dem laws about alcohol consumtion...amigo...you must haffi dem 18 years to serve alcohol..job..well..that you can prob find..but it aint gonna be easy with your age....there are sum companies..rimeshare though...i know they contract ppl sum times under 18 .. www.milanuncios.es ... to look for both job and room ... jobtoday...the app is allso aaiight.... look into dem tinngs ...let me know how it goes...accomodation ...i can help you out there..got friends that rent out rooms ..... peace!
