Hi Sarah,

Firstly, are you a UK passport holder?

If you are a UK passport holder you will find it quite difficult to secure employment.

To live in Benidorm permanently and need to work you will need to apply for and secure a position first and then your prospective employer will need to apply for a work visa on your behalf from the Spanish consulate in London, Manchester or Edinburgh.

All available employment must be offered to an EU citizen first by law.

It's virtually impossible for UK passport holders to come over to Spain and expect to find work.

I think it certainly will be a requirement to speak Spanish to a good level.

Private healthcare agencies don't pay very well and you would be expected to work long hours. A friend of mine runs a care agency and her workers are paid €7.50 per hour, work long hours and be able to drive.

If I can help with any other information please ask.

However,  if you have an Irish passport then just come over and look for work.

Steve
