Recently lost my red iPhone 11 with cover and a barbie pop socket. I am sure it was lost in a taxi at the end of the road from the western saloon nearest to jokers side. The destination was the Helios. (I know it’s just a few minutes walk but my friend stupidly jumped into a taxi and I got in the back).

any help would be much appreciated, as I have photos of my kids which sadly haven’t been backed up.

You could try to telephone the taxi company.

That is the problem with this "modern trend" of phones in back pockets as they  fall out in taxis, on buses and pub seats....

That trend of phones sticking out of back pockets is a magnet for pickpockets!!

You have probably seen more posts on this forum about "lost" phones than I have but the main problem is that the owners don't look after them!!....

It wasn’t in my back pocket! To be honest I am very aware I should have looked after it but your comments really unhelpful.

I was simply looking for some guidance or perhaps someone that might have found it so please don’t preach to me

Do you think that it is a Benidorm problem? It seems to be a small minority.

Does the UKs governments embassies website advise about keeping your belongings safe and secure whilst traveling in a foreign country, especially Benidorm and Barcelona?

I do not know what you can do after the fact except copy and paste the same lines . Maybe try something local or back on the island to warn potential victims. Airports, taxis, public transport locations are good places to "get the word out"

Hello. Have you a friend with you that has a mobile. Send a message to your phone in Spanish and in English, keep the message simple and short. Mention the pictures of your children, sentimental etc etc. Offer a reward to return,  you know the phone say 50 euros for a gratis several drinks thankyou, no questions asked. My phone informs  me when the message has been read, if the sim is still in the phone and you know the message has been read then ring your mobile number, without losing your temper talk to whoever. Its a very long "shot". You may be lucky. In today's world many people are sadly not honest. I will keep my fingers crossed for you. My Regards. R.
