I would suggest that you have a look at the following websites.

Citizens Advice Bureau Spain for bureaucratic stuff

N332 for anything to do with driving in Spain.   This site, and their Facebook page, is run in collaboration with officers of the Guardia Civil for English speaking people and has an English version of the Spanish equivalent of the Highway Code.

Many Thanks for That

Not sure  fully understand how to demonstrate 28000 euro income without working.

I’m taking advice and doing some reading but it clearly isn’t as say as I first thought that’s for sure.

Thanks

normal, monthly bank deposits from an old person pension (state or private), investments, etc..

You could go the golden visa route and invest €500,000 in a business or purchasing a property worth that amount.

I do not know if you can work on the Golden visa if it is awarded thru purchasing a property..

Maybe look into Portugal. Heard that it is much easier to get into for third world nationals.

France also is probably easier. lower income requirements but it depends on your income as the warm places in winter are pretty expensive.

Easiest way is to marry a european man or women who still wants to live in the EU

Good luck.

Good luck.  You can dream on this forum or in bed.  It's not that simple moving to another country.  And as for getting work , I don't think so. Also consider this.  The houses in Spain are not insulated.  The walls are like weetabix.  You could put your first through them.  The windows and doors are badly fitted and are draughty , the floors are marble or similar tiles.  The houses are like an ice box Jan, Feb. and heating is expensive.  I wouldn't burn my boats just yet.

Please do what you want to do, nowhere is perfect. I retired in 2019, sold my home in the UK and have no ties to the UK anylonger - I've 'made my bed and have to lie in it', as they say! If it is as bad as Saddlepillar makes it out to be, I'm surprised that they are still here. Live the dream - life isn't a dress research, it's the real thing! Enjoy while you can 😁

It's well known that persons with any claim to a irish background can apply for a irish passport  and you are a EU Citizen.  With all the benefits

Unfortunately Irish citizenship isn't as clear cut as the previous poster may have made it out to be. The following link will take you to the current advice and guidance on who may qualify for Irish citizenship:

I’m afraid getting an Irish passport is not as easy a mentioned on here

my daughter in law has lived and worked legally in Ireland for many years and is married to my son who is fully fledged Irish

She became an Irish citizen but she has waited many years and many forms and even when cleared it took a further couple of years to actually get it
