Can anyone recommend: The Bodhran Irish bar
Have read several good reports on the
Bodhran , Will be traveling to Benidorm
in a couple months are these reviews
worth listening to.
It's an ok bar but the acts spend more time chatting than playing!!

Sounds like you were a "one time only" visitor otherwise you would know that the "talking" is all part of the entertainment value.
Brendan is a good singer but part of the attraction and his consistent sucess is that he establishes a rapport with his audience and everyone normally has a very good night.
If it wasn't what you enjoy the good thing is that there are literally thousands over the years who have enjoyed his 3-4 hour act. That's a long time as a solo artist to " just sing".
To the questioner, go along I'm pretty sure you will enjoy the night. It's normally a good atmosphere and "no trouble", just enjoyment and fun.

Perhaps I didn't explain very well....
When we were there the act was chit-chating to the bar staff (standing at the bar) sooner than to the audience. He was good on the guitar but not much repartee.
Audiences can go to many places to get ignored.
