Hi,

Like many I am trying to get residencia before the end of the year.

I have been given IURISUNITED of       Benidorm as a company who could help.

Anyone any experiences of using this company? Approximate cost?

Jim's guides are excellent but I now just need to get it done right and quickly.

I've never heard of that company here in Benidorm.

I used a firm of English speaking Solicitors in Albir called Express Legal Solicitors.

They helped both me and my wife to gain residency 6 years ago and get permanent residency cards last year. The lady solicitors are both English and are well known to some posters on this forum.

Hi David,

I can't comment on the company you're asking about, but just wanted to offer some general advice, irrespective of who you decide to use.

Some gestors are asking their clients to obtain their digital certificate from their Ayuntamiento (Town Hall) and then give it to the gestor.  The purpose of this is so that the gestor can make your initial TIE application online, rather than going to the National Police station to do it, making the process a little shorter and easier, especially for the gestor.  It's extremely unwise to give your digital certificate to anyone, as they would be able to interrogate, and alter, official online records about you.

I hope you receive further recommendations of companies who offer this service - always best to speak to a minimum of 3 before committing to your preferred option.

Good luck!

Kind regards,

Kim

I'd just add that any gestor asking a client to obtain a digital certificate obviously isn't a properly registered gestor.

In addition, any such 'gestor' obviously isn't aware that they can use their own electronic certificate, provided the client signs a form to authorise them to act on their behalf.

There are far too many people in Spain calling themselves gestors, in the same way that there are too many calling themselves fiscal advisers. You might save a bit of money using such a person, but for a critical process like residencia, it's worth paying the extra for someone who is properly registered.

If you want to ensure that the job is done properly, do it yourself. It isn't difficult.
