Can you tell us what clothes we might need... We arrive 5th January? Will it be warmer than UK?

It snowed last January..
Warmer than the UK even when it snows! cold in the morning and night so wrap up warm.
I would say wear similar clothes to the UK but with some thinner layers underneath. The evenings and nights can be cold but the day time, on a good day when the sun shines for a few hours, can be like a warm spring day.
