I was looking at San Bartolome. It's still not off the table. I will not qualify for the S1 for quite some time. Question about insurance companies will come when I get closer to moving. I have an uncle in San Bartolome.  Not sure if he will be around by the time I get there. Glad to hear yo...

...ur wife has been using the busses and good to hear how far Carrefour is. I will be cycling everywhere.

shop around for medical insurance.  We almost halved what was we were originally quoted - saved over 1000 euros.  There are cyclists everywhere around Bigastro!  It is a very popular past time for many.

well maybe half is hilly if you choose to live up the hillside,  the town itself and most of surrounding is flat.  We live in flat bit - my knees couldn't handle the slopes!  And yes, the views are stunning even from the flat bit!  LOL!

If you're on the bottom it's flat but not walkable to carrefour

it is flat all the way from the town to Carrefour but it is 4.1km (2.5 miles) from centre of bigastro (flat) to carrefour.  The hilly bit of Bigastro is to the south side of town which would make the distance a bit longer.

the bus from bigastro to Orehuela and back, goes right passed Carrefour by the way.
