My advice is just to keep trying.

My flight (Dublin to Murcia for 4th April) came up as Cancelled in 'My Bookings' last night. I tried to submit a  'Refund' around 20 times this morning with the same thing -  'Reservation Number Invalid' every time (which its not!). However, I tried again just now (3.30pm) and it went t...

...hrough, first attempt, will be processed within 7 days, refund in 5-7 days!. Just keep trying, every couple of hours, its Ryanair of course!  however to be fair, this is far from their normal refund experience

Hi Alan’s Just wondering did you get your refund.

Ray.

Hi Ray,

Nothing back into my bank yet! Although I have got emails from Ryanair saying it is being processed, in a Q and apologies that its taking longer than normal due to reduced staff and the extraordinary volume of requests, which is fair enough. In addition they changed the original 7 working day process time changed to 20 days, I reckon thats about 1 more week to go! They have confirmed it has been received and being dealt with so Im happy with that, for the moment! Are you waiting for a refund too?

Hi Alan

Same as you still waiting .we have had emails from Jet 2 TUI and Ryanair they are to start taking bookings from end of June cannot understand why the Government seem to be playing this week by week.have read on the forum all three airlines are broke so we won’t be booking anymore flights with them till we have received our refunds. Sorry but I believe Ryanair would land you anywhere even if the country was in lockdown as long as they get your flight money,we will have to wait and see.

Oh come on! The world has been turned upside down and these airlines that have flown us about all over the place at prices that we have all got used to since their introduction are struggling. They are struggling to keep their staff on, many of them will not be able to work anyway if in isolation...

..., some will have to be working from home whilst also trying to home school their children. They will be waiting for the promised help from the government to materialise and the world and his dog is panicking about refunds.
June is not here yet. If you do end up flying you've worked yourself up into a stew over nothing. If your flight is looking likely to be cancelled, you will get an e-mail offering a change of flight. Nearer the date, when the decision has been made to cancel your flight you will get another e-mail with instructions on how to claim your refund.
If they do go belly up, which I sincerely hope they don't, if you have booked by credit card, you will be covered. Even if you paid by debit card there is a possibility of getting your money back that way. If the amount wasn't over 100 pound then really, is it the end of the world?

Cheryl  If anyone accepts a voucher in return for a cancelled flight, regardless if they have paid by credit or debit card, and the company goes to the wall they have no recourse because ABTA will not honour a voucher. EU law is quite clear, if a flight is cancelled then the cost of the booking should be refunded. If the company is experiencing hard times at the moment, that is very sad, get the people who have accepted the profits to ante up. Let's be clear on this, most of their customers are experiencing harder times. The reason they made money on cheaper flights is because they targeted  those on low incomes.

I don’t know it should be simple, the live chat is just a robot answering, so no help. When the flight is cancelled there should be a refund we should not have to claim it back

When you go on chat and get the robot, just type in 'live agent's

I got through immediately on 2 occasions last week.
