I’m reading all the comments about Ryanair and am so upset that we seem to accept this is ok to steal from us my flights are in June and  if this virus is still stopping flights I won’t be able to use them and will want a refund

This company is surely stealing from us all and needs to be prosecuted what about the ombudsman?

They mustn’t get away with treating us like this no respect for their staff or customers put him on the spot we want a refund not credit notes Branson another liar did the same with cancellation of train tickets

Don't believe everything you read.

If your flight gets cancelled you will get a refund. I've already had my flights cancelled with Ryanair three times now. Have received a refund for one of the flights and rebooked two others. Try looking at some if the other airlines who only offer cash points or credit vouchers. Not much use of this was a one off trip.

Oh come on! The world has been turned upside down and these airlines that have flown us about all over the place at prices that we have all got used to since their introduction are struggling. They are struggling to keep their staff on, many of them will not be able to work anyway if in isolation, some will have to be working from home whilst also trying to home school their children. They will be waiting for the promised help from the government to materialise and the world and his dog is panicking about refunds.
June is not here yet. If you do end up flying you've worked yourself up into a stew over nothing. If your flight is looking likely to be cancelled, you will get an e-mail offering a change of flight. Nearer the date, when the decision has been made to cancel your flight you will get another e-mail with instructions on how to claim your refund.
If they do go belly up, which I sincerely hope they don't, if you have booked by credit card, you will be covered. Even if you paid by debit card there is a possibility of getting your money back that way. If the amount wasn't over 100 pound then really, is it the end of the world?

Just to point out that it is not just Ryanair that are slow to offer refunds.

we had booked a week with our families in the uk from 2 april with jet2.     I decided to wait to see what if anything they would do.   5 days before they rang us up and asked what did we want to do giving us several options    We explained that we could not rebook as we have a very old dependant  living with us in spain as we had to make sure eveyrthing was ok for her whilst we are away.    The man was very polite and nice   and within 8 hours the money was back in our bank.   A very good company we have always thought and we where proved right

Brilliant that is how we as valued customers should be treated

Just had email from RyanAir now saying refunds will be taking around 20 days, don't think it will be any quicker and expect this timescale to increase.

Thank you I will

Thank you for all your responses regarding Ryan air flights I have now managed to apply for the refund fir my 4 flights during the month of April of which they have all been cancelled.

I  also had an  Email stating that due to the present amount of customers claiming for the refunds allow them to o 30 up to days

However I personally would prefer to have the money back into my account as 4 flights adds up, rather than stated  flight credit. I understand that Rayan air are also in a predicament, however if given the choice I sure some would prefer credit and other a refund, just my thoughts.  However all is good my main concern  is That everyone is staying safe in these terrible times.

Yes similar, few flights booked, was told refund in 7 days a few days ago, nothing yet , last night  given the option of cancelling last of my booked flights , message was waiting time up to 20 days but this will only increase, can understand people wanting to rebook and refunded, so difficult to put a timescale on this as all countries will relax lockdowns at different times and travel between countries may not be relaxed for months.

I think 🤔 everyone can be patient like Cheryl posted. World has gone upside down. Ryanair have been so cheap. They must do so much maintenance on the planes. Look on you tube. Really complicated and costly expense to keep the planes basically "road worthy".... When grounding the planes they have to be parked up etc. Service them every week. Get them flying again a major task. I'm sure they will get the money refunded. Its thousands of people trying at the same time. 4.000 flights a day Ryanair do. So a lot of PEOPLE!! we need Ryanair.. In 2001 it used to cost 175 to fly to alicante. So please be patient. Look you tube.... Aircraft deep storage.. I really hopes this helps
