No too cold even for kids
My four year old grandson went in the pool at Easter last year, mind you he went in the sea in Anglesea in February! Perhaps you could get them some cheap wetsuits?

Depends on where you come from (hardy Scot) and what you are used to. I have seen kids in the North Sea in Aberdeen in April however, now being used to Spanish weather, I hardly take my jacket off before May!
