The awarding of the contract for the beach bars and walkways will be announced today. It will then be up to the successful bidders to start construction. They will not be open for the Easter holidays.
Toilets in La Caleta are already in operation but the rest will be installed once the bidders have been announced. There are lots of stipulations that they must meet such as maximum size, distance from the high tide mark, distance between chiringuitos etc.
Hopefully an improvement on last year but it has taken a long time to get this sorted.
