Great, thank you
We’re do we get nice breakfast in the lomas area
Yorkshire Tea rooms... couple of others along from the street.. havent tried them, but have been passed. Always plenty of people in there..
Hi Oggy
As was stated the White Rose do a great breakfast.
Dubliner is good to watch the football. Alfies is good for bingo and Karaoke on Sunday nights. Above is the Indian; used to be awful, but the food has dramatically improved and is now excellent. This is coming from a Brummie and our staple diet is curry!
There is also the Soul Kitchen above. Food is excellent, if not a little different. They are from by Russia, but food is cheap and good.
The other side of the new commercial centre is White Rose open during the day only. The Street next, open in the evening, excellent food and great value.
Then you have the Avenue bar. Personally I think it's ok, but nothing special. Next is Michael's bar, really good now Colin and Suzie are running it. Has some good entertainment it shares with the Avenue.
Finally, is San Francisco. Just been changed into more of an up market restaurant. Not yet tried the food, but told it's great. Bar is still good and stays open late; 3pm.
The Strip is walkable, 20 minutes. Done it many times, but would only do it in the day, due to the lack of footpath on the bridge. However. It's around 5e in a taxi. They wont come to your house as addresses are too complicated, but you can get one from one of the bars. You'll always get one unless its July and August when its abit hit and miss. Though I'm told they've allowed more taxi licences this year, so should be better.
La Fuente is also a great night out. Taxi rank just outside the Stray Sod (first pub you come to there, cant miss it) great live music on Saturday nights. Also, there are many other fantastic bars and restaurants. Turn right from the Dubliner, instead of left for the Strip. Again a 20 minute walk, but again the road is a bit iffy! Just ask the taxi driver, they'll know and you wont regret it.
Another good night, especially in the summer, is Villa Martin Plaza (not walkable), around 8 -10e in a taxi. Taxi rank outside the Plaza.
Paddy's point is a good bet, walkable (30 minutes from you) under the bridge or around 6e in a taxi. Taxi rank is just at the back.
The new Lomas commercial centre is opening in July (not sure which July, as they said this last year!), but had a walk around last week and there looks like there will be lots of new bars and restaurants about to open. I'm told the rents are eye watering, so are likely to be quite upmarket.
It's a great place to stay and buy good luck.
Hope that helps?

What’s a pint cost les in the Dubliner and Alfie’s bar or even Michaels bar
Oggy it depends on the brand.
As a rough rule of thumb. 3 euros a Pint.
But dont worry too much cos I fall over after about 6 ,so you will still have change from a 20 euro note. 😀

I believe there is a KFC going in the new centre at Punta Prima roundabout opposite Punta Marina - work seems to be progressing quite well with this new centre
