HI All,,I'm seriously thinking of relocating to Costa Blanca and was wondering if there is a large ex pat community in Cabo Roig,,,I've narrowed my search down to there or Torreijeva or Villa Martin,,I'm hoping to fly out very soon after the new year and spend a few weeks looking around,,any tips would be appreciated,,thanks in advance 😊

Yes there is a large expat community in all 3 area you mention.

Please bear in mind , if you are planning on relocating permanently, that the financial requirements to gain Spanish residency are likely to be significantly higher post Brexit end December 2020 than they currently are.

It is important to consider whether you intend to have a car or will be relying on public transport.

If you need to rely on public transport then Torrevieja has the best public transport if however you intend having a car any of your locations will meet your needs.

Good luck on your search

Thankyou, I will be buying a car, but god knows how long it will take me to get used to driving on the wrong side 🤣

It is easier than you think, the roads here are quieter than the UK so you will be wizzing around in no time.

Cabo Roig and La Zenia have many nationalities particularly British and Irish, you can judge the number of Irish by the number of Irish Bars and the fact that in normal years Cabo Roig has one of the biggest St Patrick's Days parades outside Ireland. We live in La Zenia and love it.

Thankyou John,,I will be concentrating my search around these areas,,I've seen some properties I'm interested in on rightmove, do you happen to have any idea how the property market has been moving there over the last year?

Hard to tell as it is five years since we bought, people were speculating that there would be a price crash because of Covid-19 but I don't think it has happened yet as there are few people coming out on viewing trips.
