Monkey, good thread. Safer ground than the last one you started :) When I’m back in Spain I’m going to work my way through all these recommendations. Over a couple of nights of course! 🤪🥂

Hi  great subject to talk about,  El coto red is one of my favourite .

Due to the lockdown i have been sampling a bit more wine than normal,  recently tried Señorio de los Llanos 2.19€ on special offer in Llidl excellent value and goes down a treat,

In the UK Aldi sell a red wine Toro Loco , does anyone know if it is sold on the Costa?

Also  sangre De Toro. From catalunya is another great red at about 4.50 ....also there is a town called Toro in Zamora ..northern Spain ....near to where I used to live ...try a bottle of romantico from this area .at around 7e   ....if you can find one ... most wines.  Reds in particular are great wines from this region

Hi Monkey,

Two whites from me:

-  "La Hoya" €4.85 from Consum, and

-  Rueda "Arribeno" €2.20 from Mercadona.

When this lockdown lifts, I want to order another white which I can't find locally:

- Navarra "Castillo Monjardin" Chardonnay

They also do a Merlot, which is one of the few reds I like.

Oooo, all this chat is making me thirsty! 😉

Salud!

Kim
