Hi Patrick,
Just a note about how we got on.
We moved to Playa Flamenca last November. You must get the S1 forms from the UK. Pensions office. Just ring them, they are very helpful. We applied for them before we came out here, giving them a moving date which we guessed. We were taken to the Padron at the town hall in December (you don't have to wait any length of time). There was a delay in getting our SIP cards because we had to prove our state pensions with original documents. Make sure you bring all your original bank statements and HMRC/Pension letters with you. It took me about 5-6 weeks to get bank statements from Lloyds. The post is very slow here. They required 6 months bank statements, and letters stating what our pensions were. Even with the delay, we still got our SIP cards during February. You do need to have a 'Residencia' though. The solicitor we used to purchase the house took us to get this and also the NIE, which is a number like our NI number.
Regards, Sheila
