Hello.

We are a family of four looking to move to Cabo Roig, La Zenia, Playa Flamenca or Villamartin area in about one year.

My question is, are there many young people who live there permanently? as my daughter will be 17yrs and son will be 19yrs.

I thought there must be some, with there being schools etc....

Many thanks, Emma.

Hi Emma 76, I have a house for sale in Cabo Roig. It is a bedroom, fully furnished. There is no mortgage on it. My name on the forum is Luna34. I live in the UK. Aiming to come on the 3-5 October 2021. I do not know how I can give you my details. The house is near the sea, the medical centre, shops, supermarket and a bus to La Zenia. Please find out how we can get in touch. Kindest regard Luna34

Hi Emma76, I am sorry I got my message to you a bit muddled. I am an 87 years old lady. I live in the UK. I have a 3 beds house in Cabo Roig. I am very interested in selling it. The house is in good condition and fully furnished if required. I am coming on the 3-5 October 2021. Please get my email from the form.

The house is near the sea. You can see the sea from the top floor. It is near the medical centre in Cabo Roig. Also near the shops, banks, supermarket and the bus stop to La Zenia. I hope to be in touch with you. Luna

Hi Emma

The whole area is awash with retirees, and I rarely come across teenagers in bars/restaurants (except those that work there)  - but then perhaps they have better things to do!?

There are three schools nearby, and I've often wondered where those pupils live, and what they do to entertain themselves.

But it has to be said that I prefer to get out and about during the daytime, whereas most Spanish wouldn't dream of going out before 10pm at the earliest!

Perhaps other members of this forum have the answers?

Cheers

Steve

My question would be what do your son and daughter plan to do for work or further education and do they speak Spanish?

Hi Steve.

Thanks for your reply.

I wonder where they do go/live aswell. Maybe they are on their playstation's 😄

As you mentioned, if there are school's, they must be somewhere.

Out of Villamartin, Cabo Roig, la Zenia and Playa Flamenca, which has the most amenities for year round living please?

Thanks, Emma.

Hi Emma

I would say that La Zenia and Playa Flamenca  are better for amenities, but of course I'm biased because that's where I live! I'm a 10 minute walk from La Zenia Boulevard, and there are many other shops/bars etc within a 10 minute drive, including beaches.

You should also consider Punta Prima. One advantage of PP is that there is a very good bus service into Torrevieja, which may be important for your teenagers.

Have you visited these areas before?

Cheers

Steve

Thanks Steve.

Stayed at Cabo Roig about 16 yrs ago and briefly passed through Playa Flamenca when looking at houses a few years ago. My parents live in Los Balcones.

We intend to visit the areas for a longer period soon to have a more indepth look.

Noticed you get more property for your money in Villamartin. We are after a villa/townhouses with own pool and a bit of garden.

Thanks, Emma.
