That says a lot about the American people and as Villas says there are plenty of people ready to take a swipe at our elected Government here in Spain from distant lands.

i never found any comment about Spanish politics abroad John, i have lived here 1 year and know absolutely nothing about it...even on local radio it is almost never mentioned...i gather the leaders are socialists...seems like another country where thin margins and constant elections blight progress...seems like building houses and hotels for visiting north europeans is their business..and a lot of agriculture most of which seems to go to UK...i dont want to knock them as its a great place to live...apart from the official dealings which seem worse than russia...i find this typical in socialist countries..in the middle east everything is online and clear...this Suma lot and the recent Consortio after the floods must be run from a mad house...

With a bit of effort you can find plenty of information, do not rely on English newspapers or radio stations as they are unreliable, look at the El Pais website as it is a reliable Spanish newspaper with a English language version, your knowledge will build up and in time, if you are here legally, you will the opportunity to vote in Local and European Elections.

Globally speaking, when politicians from whichever country or side of the "coin" side they land on, they know full well that for many years, they have felt the humorists from newspaper cartoon parodies  right up to the likes of "Spitting Image" satire. They thrive on it, take the brunt of it & are fully suited to being "thick" skinned. I use the word "thick" advisedly.

Not just in Romania but every conflict they have been involved in ( Korea, Vietnam, the Gulf Wars ) they have killed thousands with their friendly fire or collateral damage, at times our troops and civilians were in more danger from the Americans than the enemy.

'Colateral damage', often re: U.S., used along-side the term,  "friendly fire".

i find it hard John to vote for a socialist having lived in Russia and visited Eastern European countries..i find they are all of a champaigne variety...Panameras and Palaces...at least the Capitalists dont hide their goals...i sat in the business lounge in Heathrow next to Shirley Williams for like a half hour before i recognised her...all done up in Gucci...then later on tv looking disheveled...i guess socialism suits Spain after Franco who was a bit of a lad...but are they real socialists...i hope to find out...

You don't have to support or vote for a Socialist Party, there are alternatives that are worth your following whether they have enough support to get elected to power or not but they can influence Government particularly when, as now, there is a coalition Government.

Saying oil men like a Republican President is like saying Italians like pasta. As for 2020, all will be revealed. Biden is a poor candidate, but to my mind Trump Is singularly awful, so I think Joe has a chance.

not if any of the seven latest women who he molested get a good lawyer...i know thats how it works in USA...my relative in USA got shafted even though he had iron clad evidence...i was astounded to see how their justice system works..money talks...the people who defrauded him had his money...
