Hello

Ive seen this question several times on here --- the reply is always that the Spanish dont have 'allotments' & nothing like this is available to rent ( Info from various town halls,   but no harm in asking yours)

Cheers

Dear Elinspain, thanks for the info.  I will likely have to be content with my container garden! Cheers

El Campello has allotments.

Santa Pola started them in Gran Alacant a few years ago, but they were so small and had such ridiculous regulations that after one year everyone who had taken one on declined to repeat the experience. It's now totally overgrown.

In Catalonia and Zaragoza there are allotments in many towns.

I do believe there are some in the Rojales area.

Cheers, J

I forgot tosay that there are allotments on the south side of Alicante , they are called Huertas, and you can rent them.

Also someone has just opened one in the Villaverde area of Elche.

Seems they are catching on.
