Anyone fully understand the situation regarding a potential large scale solar farm which from what I read would totally surround Castalla Internacional? Was going to purchase there but not so sure now!

And what will happen to the energy produced? They would be better off paying for everyone to have a free solar install on their property up to the value of the project. No decimation of the countryside and an abundance of energy produced. No kickbacks for certain people connected to the project though.

If you want to purchase a property there take into account that the property prices in the Castalla area will presumably  take a huge hit as soon as the building process of the mega plant starts. No one can tell how much the prices will fall. My personal impression is, they are already plummeting. According to my experience the advertised asking prices seem exaggerated and very much negotiable.  One might argue this is somehow typical for the Spanish second hand property market and also attributed  to actually rising loan rates. Maybe or maybe not.
