I’m new to the forum, can anyone advise me on the best bank to open an account and approach a mortgage advisor please ?
We are interested in property in catral and now we have our NIE numbers we are ready to proceed. TIA

Could you give us a few more details please? Are you a UK resident looking for a holiday home or starting the process of applying for a visa to move here? What type of property are you looking for, an apartment in town or a villa in the countryside?

We are looking in Catral ,countryside and not in the Town .
Villa,pool ,space and maybe a guest apartment or under build .

Read up on the Habitacion Certificate which is likely to come into play.
If the separate apartment is for guests, no problem, but if you are looking to rent it out for holiday lets you will need a Tourist Licence which you won't get if you have no certificate but then you won't even get a mortgage on it.
Make sure that the property is exactly as it states on the deeds as some underbuilds are listed as storage and many have been converted without consent and shouldn't be used for accommodation.
