Note that the regular 5 year inspection normally applies only to the big 35 kilo industrial bottles, not the 12  kilo ones

Oh I didn’t know what, but i was told the gas hob needed a certificate. I’ll check it out anyway and so long as insurance company tell me in writing/email I don’t need it I will at least have proof of cover if anything did go wrong.   We will check the hose ourselves as well.  Thanks again.

Hmmmm. This is the Citizens Advice Bureau citing legal requirements.

https://www.citizensadvice.org.es/wp-content/uploads/GAS-INSTALLATION-REQUIREMENTS-STAY-SAFE-AND-LEGAL.pdf

It clearly states gas bottles up to 15Kg.

They also state that only portable appliances with a single bottle are exempt.

Thanks Marcliff - I will check with insurance and Cepsa and do the legal requirement.  I’m not one to try and dodge the legal system - just not worth it.  I’ll keep this post updated.   Regards

Go to Resolve shop and book an inspection, that's what we did. There is a standard price, they test and date stamp the pipes

Just reading these comments, does anyone have an email/contact for Repsol or Cepsa Gas inspectors to come and do an inspection? Thanks

What location do you live at? If you have a Repsol gas bottle, contact Repsol in your area, if a Cepsa bottle then Cepsa etc.  They will either send someone around or give you a list of qualified agents in the area. Or look on the internet

Thanks kindly

We are on Propane large bottles and had our 6 feeder pipes changed last Friday. We get our gas from Cepsa and arranged the visit with our regular Cepsa delivery man.  The man who came to do the changeover was very good at his job and gave us a new certificate for the 6 new pipes , Price 150€
