Hi, my husband and I are coming to Catral on Saturday for a 2 week holiday. Third time coming to the area. We have a few favourite places to eat but looking for other nice places too. We love Kambalache and 222. We’ve also been to la Vuelta a few times as really like it there too. Can anyone recommend any other nice places to try this year ?

Also is yellow rose of Texas in benejofar still open I haven’t been able to get hold of them to book a table

Thanks

Michelle

Hi ,

You will love the new Kamablanche in Catral....same family owned but lot better location etc!

We like the 222 but for best pizza try the mamma Mia on the main road...nothing flash but the best pizza for sure!

La coschia in Benijofer is always very consistent and have been many times and food and service is always very good!

La cata in Benijofer is great for a Nordic touch on food .

Up at Algorfa is Olives and bar la vista ....which are both worth going too!

We also like the Thai/ Indian fusion place in Quasda up past the don Carlos pub on the left and obviously mister Singh’s for the best Indian is there as well.

Tropicana bar in almordia is best for tapas and breakfasts.

There are many other restaurants we haven’t tried yet but out of all of them that we have the above are ones we would and will always visit again!

Good luck and hope you have nice hols!

Thank you very much. I think we stumbled across Mamma Mia on our 1st visit. It was a Monday evening and most places were closed. We sat at a table on the pavement. They owners couldn’t have been nicer and we all had the most delicious pizza for €5. We were amazed. So we will definitely go back there. :-)

Table booked at Kambalache already :-)

Thanks again

I don’t mean to be ‘picky’ but I think that Quasda should read Ciudad Quesada.   Also I believe that the Tropicana is in Almoradí, not Almordia!

Hello

As somebody who detests cheese on toast,  AKA Pizza, having tasted the best in Italy and been disappointed... I would recommend Los Molinos in the Crevillent to Matola road for the very best in Spanish cuisine.

If you want good Chinese then go to the place opposite Café Uno in the main road thro Catral but only takeaway … the stink from the drains, which has been there every summer for the last 10 years, makes it very unpleasant.

Having said that I would like to know where Kamablanche is in Catra, appreciate your reply.

Regards

Richardl
