Scammed by UK Cronid-19 Test & Trace - Page 4

As I said agree to disagree...but have you actually read ANY of the other posts in this. The original one even. Then make comments relative to the post. Not usual for 1/10 markup in business unless you are ripping people off or taking advantage of the situation. In all businesses I have worked in or owned, a usual mark up is 25 - 30%.. still as I said you have your conservative opinion, I have mine. As far as a trusted brand...that's what's in question throughout the whole of this post...keep up.

By the way..have you checked trustpilot for reviews on Randox Laboratories...doesn't seem to back up your glowing reference. 22% excellent 78% bad..mainly for 'did not receive'. Last one 8 hours ago.

You seem to have missed quite a few points there and distorted others but never mind.

No I didn't bother searching for complaints about Randox because my experience was good and no one on this thread has complained about them.  They are also by far the cheapest option at the moment and all I was really interested in was getting the booking reference so that I could fill in the Passenger Locator Form.  Why would anyone leave a good review on Trustpilot or anywhere else for something as mundane as a laboratory test?  These figures will be heavily skewed towards bad ones.

On Trustpilot Randox Health rating is 3.4 out of 5. Highly rated on their day 2/8 testing but poorly rated on their day 5 test-to-release offering. 

  If I wanted a day 5 test for early release I would look elsewhere but would use them for day2/8 testing, good ratings and good pricing (compared to others that is).

Randox have 3 different review sites. Randox, Randox health and Randox Laboratories. 2.6 on one of the others. Too many non receipt of test and poor customer service. 

Also it’s a well known fact companies encourage employees, friends and family to boost their ratings. I think you can always knock a point of every rating across the board to allow for this.

I just looked at Trustpilot as it is independent, I did'nt look around to get a good or bad rating. I have no preference for any of the testers.

A well known fact? I've never heard of it. I would have thought a it a risky thing to ask an employee to create a false review, what happens when the employee becomes an ex-employee? Best to read the reviews and make your own mind up about the veracity of the accounts.

  Out of interest, when you picked RT Diagnostics did you look at the reviews and did they influence your decision to use them?

I wouldnt normally look on trustpilot for any. It's only because all of the companies dont have glowing reviews. You can only go on experience some good, some bad. Unfortunately they all just seem to be taking advantage of the circumstances and none of them appear to be 100% fulfilling their obligations.

I just use it as a guide, as I would with Tripadvisor.  No review can be trusted 100% as you don't know the reviewer. The companies have been around long enough for a trend to start to show. For instance RT Diag. gets 2 out of 5 on Trustpilot, and as the OP has stated they are not good so the poor ratings on Trustpilot would seem to be accurate.
