Hi Denise

At the moment all of Spain are under lock down with this Corona virus for 2 weeks. The flights to Alicante have stopped. I would think it would be the same to Valencia to. I would check your flight... Sorry to give you this news.

Assuming you flight isn't cancelled, you should be able to get a taxi, because I see on TV news today that taxis are still working (and moaning about lack of customers). In fact, given the massive reduction in people travelling, they will be qeueing up to serve you. Bear in mind you are talking about a 90km journey, so it will be expensive. Ask prices and be prepared to haggle.

Flights are still landing at Alicante and all other airports in Spain and I have read that Spanish airspace is remaining open. This may change though.

Assuming you can arrive at Valencia and all other services are working you can get the tube from the airport to Valencia station, named Xativa stop, then you can get the train to Gandia. The station is next to where you come back to the real world from the tube. This would reduce your taxi ride massively.

If there are flights on the 17th, which seems unlikely, you can get the metro at the airport to Xativa metro station, via lines 3 and 5. As you come out of the metro at Xativa just look around and you will see the Valencia Nord Estacion for main line trains to Gandia. Journey takes an  hour. From Gandia there should be a bus to Denia or you'd need a taxi which would cost 50 to 60 euros, about half what it would cost from the airport. The rail & metro fares shouldn't cost more than 11 euros per person.

One or two direct services with ALSA - several more that require a change at the central bus station. I've not done it for over ten years so a lot may have changed.
