I hope someone can help we need to get our vw polo a new ITV certificate test done .

Can anyone recommend a good place to go please .

Do you mean to get the test done or to have the car looked at prior to ITV?

Unlike UK you can only go to an ITV testing station, not an actual garage. You either book and appointment with SITVAL and choose the ITV testing station near you or any other one. Alternatively you can simply turn up, hand in your documents and pay and then wait for an empty slot. There can be quite a wait at the moment and the difficulty in getting online appointments due to a failing computer system has been commented on.

You can get you car checked out by an independent garage who could take the car for the ITV test for you but the whole thing would probably cost up to 200 euro. Taking it yourself then it's just over 44 euro for a petrol car and around 55 euro for a diesel. The prices are shown on the SITVAL site when booking.

Hi,

Beware of Ford Auto Christian website which says they will manage your ITV. They don´t. They will ring you the day before and tell you they don´t, leaving you with no appointment. The website for the Ondara ITV station was fully booked for 2 months so I´m now going to Gandia tomorrow.
