To install in ones home , ie to make savings on electricity bills .
Thank you

Hi, if not already installed, try LED lamps ( bulbs), in all lighting outlets
When compared to conventional filament lamps ( bulbs) they are much more economical plus last a great deal longer before renewal is required.

As LeckyLes advises thats the way to go and the initial cost of the lamps are now far more affordable. A range of white colours such as cool white and warm white. Cool white usually better for kitchens utilities etc. and warm white for your cosy lounge. All individual choice of course.
Change as many as you can and it makes a considerable difference to your bills.
I've literally just got my parents to change all theirs in which just one of their lights had 8 normal lamps in at 60W each so 480W. With LED they are only using 80W...........massive saving just on one light.
LED are not like the old low energy lamps where they have to warm up, they give the light instantly.

To add to what others have said, if you have lights under your kitchen wall units, think about changing them for the LED strip lighting you buy by the metre. I used to have small fluorescent fittings, and had to regularly change the tubes. I bought a couple of metres of the plain white LED lighting strip from or local chino a while ago, No more changing of tubes, and the light is much brighter.

I concur with this......
All good information coming in.
A point worth mentioning is that if standard halogen GU10 lamps are swapped for the LED equivalent , as RayD states, then it's important ,as he suggested,to check beforehand that a dimmer switch is not controlling those lamps. If a standard dimmer switch is in situ then it must either be replaced by a standard 'on /off' light switch or alternatively if the dimming is still to be required then dimmable LED lamps plus a dimmer switch suitable for dimming LED lamps can be obtained and fitted.
Many ceiling downlighter 'recessed spotlights' were formally of the 12volt variety utilizing a step down transformer. These can also be a bit of a lecky guzzler. There lamps can be swapped for LED variety but it is important to change the transformer for an LED driver.
An alternative solution would be to change the downlighters for mains voltage GU10 fittings and scrap the transformers.
A note of caution here though if these 12 volt downlighters are in locations of higher shock risk, I.e bathrooms / shower rooms or other areas were moisture,or persons for that matter, could come into contact with the light fitting then, dependent on the age and design of the Electrical Installation ,it could be that the 12volt circuit may be installed for safety reasons ,if so, they should not be replaced with 230volt Mains light fittings.

Great idea this, we have just carried out this work to the lighting. Absolutely transforms the kitchen at night.
