Healthcare Centres in Denia

Hi All...

I will be looking to get health insurance here in Denia shortly. I am considering and will meet up with Sanitas (as they have a relationship / offer with my bank Sabadell), Asis, Asssa and Mapre.

I would be keen to see what people tend to use here? My Spanish solicitor told me Mapre was excellent, but the most expensive. Alternatively, Asssa seems to have a good reputation?

In the short term I am covered with the Global Health Insurance Card and need to get some prescriptions approved and ordered from a family medical centre (I think what is equivalent to our GP surgeries?).

Are there any in the town centre or nearby where service and wait times are good? English speaking would help but isn't mandatory. Just looking for decent sized practice.

Much appreciate in advance for any comments on any of this.

If you Google 'centro de salud Denia' this will return at least 3 options for you to choose from.

As regards health insurance I am with DKV and have been for 4 years with no complaints.
