Hola,

I am trying to find a knowledgeable doctor around Denia who treats Hypothyroidism not just the usual levothyroxine way. That way is not working for me... The medication that I was on before I came to Spain is not permitted and/or available here and I am rather frustrated.

Hope you can help.

Thank

Hello

If you are a permanent resident with a  Spanish SIP card and an allocated Dr, you could ask for a referral or recommendation from the Salud.

If you have private medical insurance then visit a  general Dr suggested by your policy provider & again, ask them  if a specialist Dr is available in your area  or further away

Cheers

Thank you for your response. I already have gone through the whole spiel with private insurance -without much success. After 1 year of trying to make Levothyroxine work I am ready to find a doctor who is comfortable going off the standard treatment. Sadly, that is easier said than done.
