Hi Paul, yes everything is open.

In the uk the shops are closed for about 12 hours, everyone rushes out and buys 7 times the food they can ever eat, and fills up petrol tanks in case of shortages!

Here life goes on quietly as normal!

If you haven't been to Denia before and need any advice just shout.

Steve

Hi Steve

Thanks for the reply and no we haven’t been to Denia before, we are looking to come out over new year and would be looking to stay in an apartment rather than a hotel, could you please advise on the best area for people of our age (50’s). Also getting from Alicante airport do you know of any local companies for transfer.

Thanks in advance Paul

Hi Paul,

Beni Connect do airport transfers, dont know what the cost is.

https://www.beniconnect.com/en/shuttle-airport-transfer/alicante-airport-alc/denia/costa-shuttle-connect/

I would recommend Booking.com, good choice, safe, secure, and it has a map option where you can see locations and prices of the properties on the map.

A lot of properties are located in Las Marinas and Deveses just to the north of the town and there is a bus service but I'd try and get something as close in to town as you can. The centre is pretty compact, you can walk from the old town to the promenade in ten minutes.

Anything else just ask, I know the town fairly well.
