Budget for Removal - London to Denia

Hi,

We will be moving more or less a 2 bedroom house to Denia from SW London. We won't bother with large items such as beds, sofa or dining room table, for example. So a handful of smaller furniture items and everything else, if that makes sense.

It would be great is I could get a feel of what I will need to budget. We are renting for a while (furnished) so don't need the contents in a hurry but will put them into storage until we move into a new build. Packing as a service included would be good.

Also, if anyone can recommend a removal company they used that was good value then please let me know :-)

Probably at least a couple of K. But would it not be more sensible idea to ring up a handful of professional removers and ask them?

I’m sure it would be sensible for the OP to ring around different companies, and he probably will, It’s also sensible of him to ask others who have gone through the process for any advice and recommendations too, which could give invaluable help

Budget on around £150 per m3. We used Watsons International based in Lincoln and pleased with the service.

Of course, you are absolutely correct, Steve. It cost us in the region of 5K for a three bedroom house, quite a few years ago, but I simply rang up half a dozen local firms and asked them to come and estimate.  We had figures between 2.5 and 8.5. In retrospect, I should have elected the more costly end of the market, because there would not have been items missed and much unexpected chaos. However......
