That is better news but its still crazy imho.
Anyone travelling with an EU passport, including EIRE can fly to Spain from any country in the world without entry checks only the locator form is required at the present time. It doesn't matter where a person lives if they hold and EU passport. It is illegal under EU law to stamp an EU passport. You will go through the E-gates and not have to queue to have your passport checked and stamped at a Border control desk. Your passport defines your citizenship, not where you live.
Stamping passports only applies to Third country nationals from wherever they travel from.
