It's not a coincidence he used the name "KILLJOY" 🤣
He certainly does!
I wonder, before he moved to the gloom & doom of Espana, if he was known as “BRINGJOY”!!

Fake news yet again Killjoy ..!!!!
Can you refrain from your continual scattergun and misleading posts , people are seeking help and assistance here and you continually post incorrect information - either check before you post, or don’t post at all !!
Agree. What is that saying Steve - "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing"!

The biggest problem is getting an appointment at the Oficina de Extranjeria in Alicante. The rest is fairly straightforawrd providing you have the documents. PM me and I'll put you in touch with my Gestora, who works for a very reputable firm in the Centro Tradicional in Alicante.
We found it was much easier - and quicker - to make an appointment with the Spanish Consulate in London. And our home base is in Devon.

Hi, good evening
Thank you all for suggestions and input, I’ve made contact with a gestor in Campello which Brian suggested. They’ve been super helpful and their English far outstrips my Spanish…..🙈🤣 I’ve given them my dates for next month and they’re on it, trying to get me an appointment to fit with my dates. They’ll complete all the paperwork for me and even allow me to use their address as my Spanish one, I’ve told them that I don’t actually have yet a rental contract or an agreed purchase to date, but that doesn’t appear to be an issue. All for the cost of 60€ + tax, which I thought was quite reasonable tbh. All thats to do after that is just find the right place…..🙈🙈
Many thanks
All have a great weekend
Cheers
Rick.

Hi, Ricky. I'm pleased you found Cristina to be a useful contact. She really went the extra mile when it looked like our house purchase might fall through and managed to rescue the situation. Good luck with your property hunt and I hope you enjoy El Campello as much as we do..

Hi Brian,
Thank you, they do seem to be so helpful. So I’m hoping that I can build a good relationship going forward, as I’ll be needing someone to help deal with finances for me on that side, ie income tax etc… I’ve a few viewings lined up for next month and the apartment that I rent directly from the owner is possibly looking to sell…. He’s floated the idea with me, and I’m half tempted. It could do with a few bits doing (kitchen, bathroom), which doesn’t really faze me. It’s perfectly liveable and also rentable too as is. However I do need to see more of what’s available. As they say “you don’t pick the property, the property pick you….”
Many thanks
cheers
Rick.

OP asked for someone local in Alicante.
I put this on a thread of its own if you are still concerned about completing the NIE

Good morning, thanks for the reply. I knew that I don’t need a visa for a NIE number. A Gestor though is a good shout that hadn’t crossed my mind tbh. I’ve just emailed one in Campello to enquire. I’ll not be using a solicitor and paying 400€ odd for something that’s essentially 9.40...

... tax to pay at the bank and get that form stamped. I can download an English version of the EX15 form to fill out the Spanish one. So I might just have a go, get everything together copied with my photos and when I arrive next month I’ll go to the police station and see if they can give me an appointment during my stay. With it being that time of year and Campello not being what I’d consider as overly touristic I might just be able to wing it…… lol For banking I have looked at Wise.com which actually does on the face of it look quite good. I’m not sure, but I think also it has a correct IBAN that will allow SO/DD’s etc so that community fees/SUMA can be paid.
Cheers
Rick.

Say Alexandre recommended her. She has helped us through the red tape in Spain on many occasions.
Best, Alex.
