Spanish bank charges

Although obliged by EU law still some Spanish companies refuse to accept DD's and SO's from non Spanish, but still EU banks.

I imagine their attitude toward non EU UK banks would be HARSHER so be careful what you wish for.

So, are you saying that if I open a Wise account in Euros in the UK and advise all the relevant Spanish authorities to draw their charges by DD or standing orders on that account they will do so?  Thanks Geoff

Yes my account is registered  to my uk address..I've set up direct debits for iberdrola. Suma.agua acconia.and also the road tax for my car.wise has a E U iban number registered  in Belgium. None of the above questioned the account .just need to keep enough euros in the account to cover dds.and its free.

I bank free with Sabadell. You need the correct account so have to speak to them. To bank completely free ( no charges for bank cards either) you can't go overdrawn, pay in at least €700 a month and have their house insurance. I am happy with Sabadell. They have always been helpful to me at their branch in Campello. The branch opposite Lidl. I transfer my money over with Currencies Direct as when I sent the money over with NatWest I was charges €18 every time by Sabadell. Wrongly but they did ! 

I have completely free banking with Sabadell. I have my UK retirement pension and a couple of private pensions paid directly into the Sabadell account.  I don't have any other services from Sabadell, no insurance or loans.......

I can only day "Lucky you !" It might depend on how many transactions go through your account or your bank balance. I've banked with Sabadell for 20 years. Free at first then they charged us. I went in to complain and they told us about this account. We had their insurance already and it's no problem to pay in €700 a month

N26 ,been said before ,you get a Spanish account number ,cards etc,look online and follow the instructions .
