Does anyone where I can get PCR Covid test in El Campello or nearest location

IMED Hospital Levante in Benidorm is probably your best option and you can easily get there on the TRAM if you don't have a car.

You only need an antigen test for return to UK which is much cheaper and faster than PCR.

I am new to this forum.

I visited the IMED Hospital Levante in Benidorm earlier this year to enquire about a PCR test.

I travelled there easily by tram from Campello.

The receptionist readily spoke English to me, after my attempts at basic Spanish, so that was a 

relief. He advised me that no prior booking was required. 

I subsequently discovered that a PCR test and/or the cheaper Antigen test are both available (booking required), at  Policlínca Omega, Avenida de la Estación, 03560, Campello.

The nurse who attended to me is British, and the PCR results were emailed to me the next day.

At the time (early January this year), I decided to take the more expensive PCR test, as I was 

unsure about the Antigen test being acceptable to the U.K. authorities. 

I see now from members on this forum, that I would have been able to use the Antigen test, and would have saved some money!

The small clinic is opposite the Tram station in Campello.

Hi. Apparently, you can get an Antigen test costing €39 for entry into the UK. No need for the more expensive PCR test.

28thMar  We took the Antigen test (€45) at the Quiron hospital, Calle de la Cruz de Piedra,  Alicante  Signposted right turn off the 332 shortly after the Mercedes garage ( approaching Alicante from el Campello area)

No appointment needed, arrive park, register and pay (cash or card) at the office alongside car pk, go to nurses office 2 metres next door, she takes a swab and within 5 -10 mins you have the result and the paperwork.

Also for those arriving in the uk and therefore needing to book a 2day and 8day covid test kit.   If you use the  gov.uk site to find testing providers be aware that the costs for the SAME tests vary from £120 to £300+!!!! Depending on who you choose.

I am looking at coming over to El Campello late August and will requure a negative test to get back to the Uk via a Santander crossing probably mid October. Can anyone advise me where I can get one of these tests with the necessary certificate or paperwork we will need to get back home...

We went to Omega Policlinica Av de L'Estacio no4. It is next door to the Pharmacia round the corner from the tram station. Very polite spoke English and I think it was 70 euros for us both

Hi they email you the result and you can go and collect a letter. We went at 10am and we picked up the paper copy at 5pm the same day
