Hi Steve
Thank you for raising these points. However to clarify we are not 'trying to find ways around the rules' as has been implied on this post. The current situation in France allows for travel to Spain - I'm not going to get into personal/professional reasons why this would be all...

...owed etc for us on this forum. We like everyone else in Europe will be monitoring how the situation evolves in both countries - as circumstances can change very quickly.
Regarding the reference to "civic responsability" I can assure you that we respect the rules far more than our local neighbours in France. We would be applying the same rigour regarding protocols if we did actually manage to get to Spain: ie local grocery shopping, walk along the seafront and staying at home.. We did EXACTLY the same thing during our summer holidays in Spain this summer - no trips to restaurants no socialising with neighbours etc. The only difference being my partner could telework there (which he is allowed to do) and I could manage to get out and walk in weather and conditions that are better than here. Regarding protocols in place the only difference now is whereas we voluntarily did a covid test prior to arriving in Spain in the summer, the Spanish authorities (and righly so) require the same to be done now.
To recap the sole purpose of my post was to get information relating to where it would be possible to do a PCR/covid test in El Campello - assuming conditions allowed us to get to Alicante and where we'd like to do a test prior to returning to France. Unfortunately I am still waiting for someone to provide me with this information request.
My post wasn't aimed at you so apologies if you felt it was. More a generalisation about some posts, and general tone from many threads on the subject of restrictions.
I hope you get a reply to your specific question soon.
Kind regards, Steve
