I took my own test with me. Livingcare are highly recommended. Very efficient and easy to do.

Pharmacies and clinics were running out of tests and people had to make alternative arrangements for flights home as it had been left to the last minute to walk in

thank you so much for your response and recommendation x

We had our antigen tests done at Policlinica Omega. Highly recommend them.

Next to the BARC charity shop.

Same day results and English is spoken. In fact the nurse that does the tests is English.

Make an appointment though to ensure they have the resources to do the test when you need it.

Its 72 hours. But book your test for Friday as I'm not sure if they open on a Saturday.

My flight leaves at 12.20 pm what would be the best time to arrive at Gatwick to get everthing done, thanks

Hi Irene and Harry,

No, you're not allowed to bring the free NHS tests with you.  You can pay for an Antigen test from a UK provider, such as Boots, and bring it with you to take within the 72 hours before your departure time from Spain.  You also need to book and pay for the Day 2 PCR test, which will be delivered to your UK address for when you arrive home.  However, the Government is due to announce changes today to the country classifications and testing required for travel to and from each, with a suggestion that the Day 2 test may be abolished, so watch this space.

Kind regards,

Kim

Not quite true. You don't need a test or proof of vaccination to enter the UK. To enter Spain, you either need to be fully vaccinated or have a negative test. However, Jack58 is right in that the health controls at the airport are very random and you are most likely to be able to walk straight through. To avoid problems have either your covid vaccine record or a negative test result with you when you travel.
