My son is travelling out this Saturday from UK. Does anyone know if I can have access to the arrivals area. I had heard that this was not possible ??

Strictly speaking, you can’t but I recently picked a friend up who was travelling with a small child. I’d initially told her I’d meet her in the lobby where you pay for parking but when I arrived early I chanced my arm and walked over to arrivals.

There were a few people there and security guards were insisting you stood right back or to the sides but they weren’t asking you to leave.

Like Shaun, I took a chance and walked past the signs to the arrivals area. There were very few people there and, whilst it's true that security didn't challenge anyone, I'll be telling my visitors later this month to go up the escalator and through the tunnel to the car park foyer.
