We have recently moved into our house near La Hoya. There is a lot of trees and bushes that have been cut down and piled in a corner. Is there a certain time of year that you and cannot have a bonfire?

Many thanks

Yes, this time of year. Bonfires are banned at the moment, the farmers who caused fires in the parks are guilty of ignoring the rules which has caused the fires.

Normally beginning of June to middle of September is when the restrictions come in and our local parks have red flags flying to show barbeques are not allowed during those periods. This year has come earlier due to the severe lack of rain in the area for many months.

Some areas require a licence to have bonfires and others have "burning" days when they are allowed.

Each ayuntamiento will have its own rules regarding licences (which are free) and times when bonfires are not allowed so you should contact them for advice.

If  it  is  Large trees that you are referring  too around New Development  taking  place  in La  Hoya,  They  are  re Planting these Palm Trees as it  part of the Planning that was granted  to Developers,  that  any Trees remove  must be re Planted in Local area
