I have decided to move to Wise account as have a lot of you guys due to the increased charges Sabadell are making.
My question is how do i close my Sabadell bank account.
We are still in N Ire and will be for some time so going to the bank is out.
Appreciate the forum and the helpful posts and advice by all

I understand that you have to go to the bank branch that you initially opened the account to actually close it otherwise the account stays active.

Hi Steve thanks for the reply.
Does that mean I will still have to pay the bank charges even if I transfer all my money?

If you do not have any direct debits on your account you maybe able to close your account by email/phone. I have closed my sabadell account remotely about 3 moths ago.

I was in the same boat as you, i emptied myA/c then phoned & told them its empty , bye !! they took the hint & nothing more was said, I then got on with Wise!! John.
