Evening,

When we discuss anything about Spanish bureaucracy, we often speculate about the apparent discrepancies between how the rules seem to be applied.  I've just read this interesting article from 'The Local', which goes some way to explain the background to discrepancies in the financials relating to TIE applications:

Kind regards,

Kim

Interesting post. I watched a bit of the video and it struck me how skewed information on the TIE process is towards pensioners or inactives. The person on here who asked a couple of days ago the question about applying for the first time as a self employed person in Spain isn't really covered by much of the happy path information pushed by the common sources.

Hi Lancelot,

I agree and I remember asking the OP to give us the specifics of his situation.  Also, I can't remember Jim's guide covering this either, but perhaps that's because I'm on the "happy path"! 😄

I will check, though, as the OP's fedback would be really helpful for others.

Kind regards,

Kim
