Is it possible to obtain a TIE card in DENIA. We were able to obtain our Green A4 Residencia there but have been told that we must go to Alicante for the card.

I understand that you have to go to Alicante to obtain the TIE. Until recently you could have applied at Benidorm but the office was closed again last week.

We live in Pego and applied for ours two weeks ago at Benidorm. We have friends here, one of whom applied recently at Denia, but has since been trying for an appointment there for her husband without success. We had to look several times online before we got an appointment at Benidorm, the only other options we saw were Alicante.

It seems to be a bit of a lottery, you just have to keep looking online at the appointments section, options come and go. Go for Benidorm if you can, its not far.

I live in Benidorm and I am about to exchange my green card for a TIE. I was told a couple of days ago that the Benidorm office was now closed and I would have to go to Alicante.

Thanks for the replies,  it seems all a bit of a bugger’s muddle,  what a suprise!

From what I was told it was because the Alicante office had a lot less applications for residency and had spare capacity so they closed the surrounding offices.

I am going to make my application to exchange my green card in about an hours time so I will update the thread when I get back.

I don't know if they've closed it to new applications. All I know is they told us to come back end of June to pick up the card.

UPDATE......

I've just been to do my application for exchange of green card to TIE and I've got to go to Alicante.

Benidorm office is definitely closed.

Maybe it might be open to collect cards already in progress, I don't know.
