Hi all,

Does anyone know if the local authorities are taking any action against the Tiger mosquitos?

I suffered a bad reaction in May and my nephew has required hospital referral/treatment as skin infected by the bite. The hospital reported this was a problem and showed him pictures of other people’s infected bites.

I have heard of other places in the past where they are sprayed a smoke like substances around likely areas to help tackle similar problems?

Also, best repellant and after bite recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Hi. In the forum are many ideas for remedies. From Marmite, to citronela.

It seems the mossies don´t hear them.

After bite (asap) ammonia (amoníaco) all usual shops, 50c a litre. or go to the farmacia & buy a tiny bottle for 4-5€ a bottle. apply to the affected bite.

Interestingly enough, I saw these posters close to a clients property the other day...

That’s brilliant thank you. Can you tell me what it actually says about air conditioning, I can’t seem to zone in on the image.

Availble in GA pharmacy.

My friend has been taking Benerva tablets and swears by them. You get them at the chemist over here.

I bought Avon so soft body oil spray and it has worked a treat.

I have mosquito nets on all windows but they still get through the doors. What has helped a lot is a mosquito door screen on bedroom door. You get them from the chino shops. I haven't been bitten once in my bedroom. Just nail or staple to door frame. Good luck

I will purchase and advise others to do so. Anything to reduce the risk.

Thank you so much

Ufatben, have you tried ‘tapping’ or ‘clicking’ twice on the image?    It should increase in size so that you can read it.
