Hi everyone,

I have played a good level of football all my life and when I came over here to live 16 years ago I started again playing 5 a side. Unfortunately playing on an intenral sports stadium basketball court with no air con. did not do my joints any good. Then came Walking Football on astro turf. Totally different feeling and am now playing three times a week because of the quality of the surface and the lack of effect on my joints.

Good news! We are starting a session every Monday at 9:30am beginning 9th September at Santa Pola Football club in Santa Pola. They have kindly offered their training astro turf pitch and would like to see as many people over 55 coming along to enjoy some entertainment and not suffer the aches and pains associated with the gym floor!

Hi Ken,

I'm moving to the area in September and would like to try that.

Can you tell me if it's the 'FC Bahia Santa Pola' place, that I can see on Google Maps?

Thanks

Hi Ken here

THe ground is Campo Futbol Pereira Santa Pola.

Dirctions :

If you come off the N332 into Santa Pola where the garage is (not the disused hotel) drop down and head towards Santa Pola centre. Before McDonalds roundabout at the police station turn right and the ground is 300m on your right. We will be meeting at about 9:30

Look forward to meeting up Ken

Thanks Ken,

I'll probably not be at the first one, but hope to make it later in the month.
