You need to change to Sabadell Key Account Plus, still  get quarterly fees €30 but no annual card fee for first card (we just have one card)You can use your card without any further transaction charges. I only found out last month about this account as we too were charged for using our card in the shops. I think all banks charge unless you can put X number of Euros in each month or you have a pension or salary going in.

Hi Manon

That’s spooky, just come back from Bankia

They have an online account with zero fees and a free debit card, so back in tomorrow to open it

Thanks

hi all, just followed this post and am interested to know regarding Bankia charges. Do they have monthly charges and allow direct debit payments to electric and water etc.

Hi

I opened the (cuenta on)account did it in branch in Bankia in Guardamar with Alma and she transferred my direct debits

It is free from fees, but you have to use ATM machine to pay in and withdraw less the 600 euros above that u can use in branch over counter

Debit card  also

That’s ideal for me To be honest

Look on the web site and set to English
