Hi Ray. Yes they have disposable inserts. Mine came with 10 but they are available separately in batches of 100.

Hi, we have just spent a week in the area and have found the C-19 measures really good and easy to follow. Masks are compulsory to carry at all times and are worn when in shops or when the distance is less than 1.5m. The beach is no issue as no one wears a mask and have visited our local town pool (Benijofar) which required online booking but was straight forward and we had our own area allocated. As for cost for face masks they are set by the government at 60cents and all supermarkets have lots available. I travelled with my two children aged 10 & 14 and they had no problems adapting. All in all it is much easier than the uk side where there are queues outside supermarkets and bars just opening. Here In Spain once seated at a table you remove your mask and bars and restaurants, shops are all well set up and trading as close to normal with hand sanitisers at entrance to each shop. Spain feels a lot safer than UK and is doing a good job at getting the economy going. Hope this post helps

Thank you for this update. If the family come out, then it will be reassuring that systems are working to keep people safe.   They were particularly concerned about the beaches, and restaurants.

We will watch carefully this week to see that no other spikes occur, as in the north/west of Barcelona.

Grahame I understand your concern but Spain is far safer than uk planes are probably a lot cleaner and filters maintenance will be better than ever did you see the people on the beaches in uk and last night in soho so as you may be one of the many people who are really worried about the virus please don’t discourage people for wanting to still live there lives

Hello.   I have one or two questions, and would very much appreciate if someone could give us some ideas of how things are working.  My husband and I are isolating in the UK and don’t know how to answer their concerns.

My daughter and family, 2 adults and 2 children aged 6 and 3 years old, are planning on taking their flights out in mid July, to stay in our Apartment.  The nearest beaches are at Guardamar, at the southern end, the La Mata side....

...

My question is this.......the law says that face masks should be worn whenever you are out of the home environment.  Does this include when you are on the beach?  We have seen pictures of the busy beaches but no one seems to be wearing one.
If you go for an ice cream at the Gelato shop, is it only takeaway....cornets, and tubs.   Or can you sit at a table to enjoy it?

Also, how do you get tickets for the beach,  how much do they cost,  and how long you can stay for?   Does each person need a ticket?  They would be driving to the beach.

Could someone kindly tell me if more than one person can go into the supermarkets?  Are there masks available to buy?  Is it better to bring them from home?

We would Much appreciate any comments and advise you can give, and thank you for your time in replying.

Thank you.

Well some supermarkets only allow 1 person to give more space for others, facemasks compulsory. Bars restaurants compulsory to have one big fine if you don't, have to be worn to enter can remove when seated. Beaches marked out into spaces, masks worn until you get to your space. Beach closed when full. Tickets given when you arrive.

Not all beaches do this. Be warned this is not UK.. you don't take the piss out here police fines

Face masks on the beach won't matter soon as it seems certain now Spain is going into a 2nd wave.

2 areas now in Spain are under new quarantine

The spike in cases is significantly higher than that in previous weekends over the last month.

The number of infections recorded in the last week also reached 2,347 – the highest number of weekly infections recorded since June 3.

Spain has been dealing with dozens of active outbreaks. Two got so bad this weekend that lockdowns were imposed in parts of Galicia and Catalonia.

The affected areas, home to around 270,000 people, have been isolated from the rest of Spain and placed under more restrictive social distancing conditions.

It's advisable to get your affairs in order now otherwise you might end up getting stuck in Spain!!

Hi, just back from Almoradi.  We visited Gaudamar most evenings.  My advice is wear masks everywhere,  as it makes everybody you meet comfortable.  Masks and gloves available in all supermarkets no limit on entry.   Hand sanitiser everywhere so just enjoy it all by following the rules

Thank you Tom062 for your advise re face masks.  It was good advise.

Having had time to talk this through with her children, my daughter has decided to postpone their summer holiday.  When it was suggested to her 6 year old that he might need to wear a mask, he thought about it for a while, and then came up with several valid reasons why he would not be happy wearing masks.   She also thought that social distancing in a restaurant would be a trial to her 3 year old, and herself and husband,  having to be so vigilant.  It would take the enjoyment away of eating out.
So, for those, and other reasons, it’s camping in a Teepee in the Lake District for them this year!

Thank you to everyone who contributed their ideas and thoughts.

AS Far As I have seen, A/C Filters on aircraft are ineffective against, flu or the common cold let alone corona viruses which are at least a factor of ten smaller. They are not even up to MERV16 standards which allow particles many times bigger than COVID19 ...0.03microns

Filters in most closed areas just remove dust and unfortunate insects.
