Hi all,

We are planning to move to Costa Blanca in Oct 23 although exact location yet to be agreed.  We will be visiting for a few weeks Mar - May to explore further area between Pilar de Horadada to La Marina primarily.

We will be driving across in March and I am considering whether best option initially when we move with NLV in Oct 23 would be to keep my UK car initially (which I am fond of and know is well maintained).  I understand it will need to then be registered in Spain with a few bits like lights changed etc.  I was wondering if there is any facility that would be able to deal with making the necessary changes, running the ITV etc and registering the vehicle if I chose to bring it.  Understand there will also be some tax matters to be sorted.

If there was someone/a company etc who deals with that in general Alicante area would be grateful for any info and could arrange to visit I hope when over in a couple of months.  Any other info of use much appreciated.

Hi Mobat,

I second PeterPan's recommendation for Leigh at Spanish Number Plates.

Kind regards,

Good morning.

I have a 2005 Landrover discovery and like you I knew it's history and that I had looked after her. She will be with me till she dies lol.

I used Sue and Dave at          RegisterYourCar.Com

They were so friendly and the service was fantastic.

Give them a call and they will explain everything so you actually understand the process.

They will come to your home or even pick up and drop off your car at one of the airport parking compounds if you store it there whilst you are in the UK.

Good luck.
