I have recently moved to Guardamar. I don’t know anyone in the area.

Try going into any of the Brit Bars in Guardamar to see what activities they run.

Great way of making friends.

There are no Brit bars in Guardamar other than a Scot’s football bar,

I presume you are talking about Hoops Bar.

Not sure which part Guardamar you’ve moved to or what hobbies you got.

There’s also the Shamrock bar and Platform 1

Eddys Street Food is also nice quirky place to go for a drink.

Lots of friendly Spanish bars and the Spanish love a chance to practice their English

Thanksfor that information. It is much appreciated. I know about the Irish bar but I was unaware of platform 1 … I will give it a try.

Hi Pablo44, My wife & I have lived in Guardamar 17 years & we are willing to meet you locally. Our favourite meeting place is a spanish cafe/bar on the promenade called EL Velacho which means 'the sail' . If you walk from Hoops Bar to the prom then turn left and about 60m along on the left with distinctive vertical blue tiles on the corner. ( Not the first corner cafe with blue tiles which was the Taverna & is closed). We live opposite the bus station & taxi rank if that is more convenient. You do not say that you have any preferences for sports etc . Have you been to the Tourist Office opposite the RH corner of the Town Hall? You can ring me most times except for Monday & Wednesday mornings before 11 am.

I’m down that way although not there at the moment. Meson da laura is at the back of mas y mar. Great little bar. Friendly where  a few brits go.
