Whilst we all have to agree with the referendum. Unfortunately the people effected mostly by the outcome is the younger generation who mainly voted remain. They are the ones who have the carpet pulled out from beneath them. Sorry...not necessarily agree, but accept.

SW, i understand the result did not suit everyone but what election or referendum can ever do that, i myself have been on the losing side many times and like yourself have to accept the result, undoubtedly the best thing that can be done is to pull together to support the country, the very worst thing to do is bicker and create as many problems as possible, good of you to say you accept the result.

Hi AngeBadge,

I read your discussion with Robert with interest but, like you, I am still left with the same view as before - another Brexiter who is unable to articulate what they have "won" for their vote.  I'm disappointed, but not surprised.

Kind regards,

Kim

I'm not so sure George, even if you discount the comments by critics of the new scheme, any  additional funding under the new Turing scheme could quickly be eaten up by "UK students having to deal with immigration regulations in the EU" and "wider issues such as health and travel insura...

The cost of a student visa to Spain is £174.

In the overall scheme of things (given that the application will likely be made while either at University/School such that the UK Dept for Education will fund much of the actual paperwork requirements), I do not see that as a meaningful obstacle when viewed in the wider context of the higher level of monthly support provided by the new scheme.

Hi Robert,

I'm not asking you to convince me of anything and I don't need you to post links to articles of other people's opinions on Brexit and the Eurozone (especially articles written 4 years after the Referendum); I just asked why you voted Leave and what you think you've won?

I don't know why you asserted that those of us who voted Remain did so for "selfish" reasons.  As I said, I voted Remain to continue partnership with our European neighbours for seamless, free trade, stability across the region and the strength derived from the sum of the parts; our combined reach to fight international crime and terrorism, the value of multi-disciplinary research, the ability to influence, determine and maintain high food standards, employment law that protects workers, discrimination law that protects the vulnerable and disadvantaged, and more besides.  I also had deep concerns about the N.I./Republic of Ireland border, because I couldn't see due consideration being given to the potential resurrection of "the Troubles" if they got it wrong - which now seems to be the case.

So what is your reason(s) for voting Leave and, given that was the result that came to pass, what do you believe you've won?

Kind regards,

Kim

Kimmy i post links so that those with open and inquisitive minds might read them and hopefully find them useful, i try and post links to recent publications, up to-date as it were, as for these being other peoples opinions i am not sure i would call New Statesman and Investopedia "other people", they are both well respected organisations, you might disagree with that though i have no idea why you would, also i do not specifically post them to you, i would also mention that you yourself often post links to back up your posts.

Might i suggest you do not click on these links if you are not interested in the subject matter.

Hi Robert,

It appears that you're missing my point - your opinion versus that of others - to avoid answering my question.  Perhaps you have no original thoughts, but for me, it's just another example of never being able to get a definitive answer from someone who voted to leave the EU.  So be it.

Kind regards,

Kim

Hi David,

Indeed, I will be sure never to offer you any helpful information again - especially as you don't read it!

Well i could type out long drawn posts like yourself but if i can answer in an easier way by adding a link (which i sent to Angebadge) i will use that method, my apologies if this upsets you.

Maybe you could take it up with site Admin if its a violation of site rules.

I didnt know it was 6k a year !? First time ive heard that , or else I wuda done it ! You had to have 10k in your bank  account as well 🤔.are u sure about that-6k ! Really !? 🤔

I’ve been a resident just over 3yrs now and all i needed was my work contract nothing else asked for hence my previous comment, if you had even bothered to look into it you wouldn’t of had an issue.
saying that each area asks for different criteria. 10 months later at the same place where I applied and even though the person had a work contract they requested bank statements and much more.
