Unfortunately this man conned us out of a lot of money promising to carry out work that was never completed. He sounded very genuine as did his ‘girlfriend’. We were taken - I hope no one else will be!

Hi Diane,
I'm sorry to hear that. You're certainly not alone, there was a thread on here earlier in the week about the same guy, including his picture. I believe the couple who were conned have also posted details on Costa Blanca Named & Shamed on Facebook.

Agreed on paying for materials, for example when having our apartment retiled we went to Preyser in Los Dolses, picked and paid for our tiles directly with them, so the quote agreed and paid to the tiler was for labour only and on completion.

Hi Nicola,
Can i ask why the post was deleted by the Forum, the post was to alert and protect people from a conman. It wasnt hearsay it actually happened (quite a few times apparently)
If it wasnt the Forum but the man himself, how is this possible surely you need to go through Alex do delete a thread.

The thread itself was not deleted, but only the post from someone purporting to be the man in question was deleted. His post was deleted because his account was banned for breaking our rules of creating multiple accounts and evading previous bans.
